Step 1: Get Your User Secret

Visit Smart Notes

Go to tryblend.ai/smart-notes and log in

Copy Your Secret

  • Click Settings button (top right)
  • Your secret looks like: happy-river-mountain-forest-7392
  • Click Copy to copy it

Step 2: Install the Shortcut

Download for Mac

Click this link on your Mac:📥 Install Blend Smart Notes for Mac
Opens in the Shortcuts app (pre-installed on macOS 12+)

Add & Configure

  1. Click “Add Shortcut”
  2. The shortcut will run automatically
  3. Paste your secret when prompted
  4. Click Done
You’re all set! The shortcut is now ready to use.

How to Use It

  1. Visit any webpage in Safari
  2. Click the Share button in the toolbar
  3. Select “Blend Smart Notes”
  4. Done! Check tryblend.ai/smart-notes

Optional: Browser Bookmarklet

For one-click saving from any browser (Chrome, Firefox, Arc, etc.):

Create Bookmark

  1. Show your bookmarks bar (⌘⇧B)
  2. Right-click → Add Bookmark
  3. Name it: ”📝 Save to Blend”

🔧 Troubleshooting

  1. Open Shortcuts app
  2. Find “Blend Smart Notes”
  3. Right-click → Details
  4. Enable “Use as Quick Action”
  5. Set “Accepts:” to URLs or Text
  1. Open Shortcuts app
  2. Find “Blend Smart Notes” and right-click
  3. Edit the shortcut and update your secret
  4. Or regenerate secret at tryblend.ai/smart-notes
  1. System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts
  2. Click Services
  3. Find your shortcut and check for conflicts
  4. Reassign to a unique combination
